In addition to easy highway access via I-35 (which lies two miles west at Highway 70) and Cedar Avenue, MAC's Airlake Regional Airport provides air service to businesses operating at Airlake. Today, 150 businesses and over 4,300 employees consider Airlake Industrial Park their home away from home. Steady, stable growth over the years across a wide cross section of industries has resulted in more than 4,500,000 square feet of manufacturing and distribution facilities. The diverse and rapidly growing workforce is drawn from the metropolitan area as well as from nearby rural communities providing a unique combination with a strong work ethic. City Business routinely recognizes Airlake as the Twin Cities second largest industrial park. Airlake has platted lots available ranging in size from 1 to 3 acres and many unplatted parcels of various sizes to meet any need including a rare contiguous 200 acre parcel.
Team Lakeville member, APPRO Development, lead by Jack Matasosky, acts as the primary site planning, architect and general contractor for businesses considering an Airlake location. APPRO's familiarity with Airlake and the Lakeville City approval processes on build to suit industrial projects comes from 20 years experience in the neighborhood. A few of APPRO's recent projects in Airlake are for Boise, Tyco Plastics, ConAgra Grocery Store Brands, Performance Office Papers, and Wausau Supply Company. APPRO's many repeat customers and the company's respect at Lakeville City Hall comes from proven historical performance.
Mayor Holly Dahl and Economic Development Director Dave Olson, along with Lakeville's welcoming and knowledgeable city staff, are available to serve potential Airlake businesses. The city is blessed with well planned and developed transportation corridors, park systems, municipal services, advantageous property tax rates, fire insurance ratings, and strong schools. In 2006 Lakeville was named America's 4th best community in the book, "Best Places to Raise a Family." Lakeville's small town flavor must be experienced to be appreciated. Well planned growth, as projected by the Met Council, will make Lakeville the fourth largest city in the metro by 2030.
Team Lakeville member Progressive Rail is the short line rail service provider serving Lakeville's Airlake Industrial Park. Progressive Rail's philosophy is summarized by Dave Fellon, the founder and owner- "We view our customers as business partners in that we identify new ways to get their products to market cost effectively and, in fact, identify new markets for clients' products along the over 100,000 miles of rail throughout North America." A stroll through Pro Rail's 20 acres state of the art transloading facility and warehouse at Airlake give evidence to the wide variety of clients benefiting from Pro Rail's philosophy. Several one-time transloading clients including American Cast Iron pipe, Boise and Wausau Supply Company have moved regional distribution facilities to Airlake over the last several years.
Other Team Lakeville members include Cerron Commercial Properties' Bruce Rydeen, who assists land owner Airlake Development, Inc. Cerron coordinates with Airlake Development, Inc. principals Mike Regan, Pat Regan, Sean Regan, Katie Regan Nath and Dan Regan on potential land sales and build to lease opportunities. An affiliation with Premier Banks provides Team Lakeville with a financing source and rounds out the "one stop shopping" development concept.
Please call Dan Regan at 612.987.9966 to learn more about what Airlake has to offer.

The Twin Cities ranked at the top of a MarketWatch study on the nation's best metro centers for business, winning by a wide margin.
