Construction is finished on the newest office-warehouse in the 1,500-acre Airlake Industrial Park in Lakeville.

The Airlake South Creek Business Park is a 30,000-square-foot speculative, multi-tenant facility that sits on five acres at the northwest corner of Cedar Avenue and Highway 70, according to Maplewood-based Airlake Development Inc., which developed and owns the industrial park.

The new building is designed to accommodate tenants looking for between 3,700 and 30,000 square feet.

The site provides easy access to Interstate 35 and the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Drive time to either of the downtowns is about 25 minutes.

“Leasing activity has been extremely high recently, which illustrates our view that the timing is right for this type of project in Lakeville,” said Dan Regan of Airlake Development.

Airlake Industrial Park, which started being developed in the mid-1960s, is Minnesota’s second-largest industrial park by acreage and is home to 150 businesses that employ more than 4,200 people.
